Class Information:
American Government
Target Student:
This course is intended to teach students about American Government and how it functions.
Course Description:
This course will cover a new topic each week. Over the course of one hour each week, students will be introduced to concepts like how a bill becomes a law, the three branches of government and what they do, and who were some of the founding fathers of America.
Fall Schedule:
This class will be every Thursday from 1pm-2pm until semester break in December. This class is 1/2 credit. This class is intended for 8th-12th grade.
History of Music with arts and crafts
Target Student:
This course is intended to teach students about some of the most famous musicians in history and learn a little about music.
Course Description:
This course will cover a new topic each week. Over the course of one hour each week, students will be introduced to concepts like learning a new note each week, what it looks like, where it sits on a staff, and what it sounds like on a piano. Along with learning history and sound the students will do some art projects with the new information that they have learned.
